An urban legend says that food additives and preservatives present in fast food make them last forever. To check, a Spaniard was curious to see how they behave while French fries from McDonald's and KFC.
In 2008, Spaniard bought a portion of chips from the two fast food restaurants and put them in one sealed jar whom.
Any food kept in a jar for more than ten weeks would be to decompose. However, McDonald's potatoes kept their golden brown color and showed no evidence of biological activity, at least not at first sight. In contrast, those from KFC were altered catching mold.
